Tumeric Ginger Shots Recipe

How to make turmeric and ginger shots.  These immune boosting shots help support your immune system.  I like to make them when I'm feeling sick to give my body a little extra boost.  This turmeric ginger shot juice recipe is easy to make, and I like to keep the ingredients on hand during the winter.

Immune Boosting Juice Shots

No one wants to be sick.  While I will use over the counter and prescription medications when I need them, I also turn to natural remedies like this turmeric ginger shots recipe.

Recipes like this homemade immune booster support the immune system.  While they aren't a miracle and won't prevent all sickness, they can offer some support to help you feel better quicker.

I have a recipe for turmeric and ginger shots and how to use it in a smoothie.  Admittedly, this isn't the best tasting recipe, but I find it more tolerable in a smoothie.

Keep track of this recipe and more in my printable Recipes for a Natural Home binder.

What Do Immunity Boost Shots Do?

A turmeric shots recipe helps support your immune system to prevent you from getting sick or shortening the duration of your sickness.

While a homemade immune booster can't stop every illness, they may be able to help your body recover faster.

This turmeric ginger shot juice recipe is packed with ingredients like spices, citrus juice, and honey along with turmeric and ginger that offer your body support when you feel like you may be getting sick.

How Can I Boost Up My Immune System?

Boosting your immune system takes weeks if not months.  It's a lifestyle and not something that happens quickly.  Genetics and lifestyle choices both affect your immune system.

Here are some long term things you can do to support your immune system according to Harvard:

  • Eat a healthy diet with fruits and vegetables.
  • Exercise several times a week.
  • Don't smoke.
  • Maintain a healthy weight.
  • Drink alcohol in moderation or not at all.
  • Get enough sleep each night.
  • Wash your hands frequently.
  • Minimize stress.

I try to do this things daily and also take a multivitamin and other supplements.  When I feel like I might be getting sick, I also add a homemade immune booster like this turmeric ginger shots recipe.

I also like to take elderberry syrup.  You can easily make your own with my elderberry syrup making kit or my fire cider kit.

How Do You Take Turmeric Shots?

The best way to take turmeric is in a liquid.  This helps your body absorb more turmeric, which gives your body more benefits from this spice.  This is why I use turmeric in immune boosting juice shots.

You can drink an immune system boost shot by itself or in a smoothie like this blueberry smoothie recipe without banana.  You could also dump it in orange juice or other juice.

How Often Should You Drink Turmeric Shots?

You can drink a turmeric ginger shot juice recipe every day.  This is a potent recipe, so I don't drink more than one a day.

Should Turmeric Be Taken With or Without Food?

Turmeric is fat soluble, so you should have this homemade immune booster with food.  However, if you are sick, you can also take it with some coconut oil to add some extra fat to help your body absorb more turmeric.

How Long Does it Take for Ginger and Turmeric to Work?

I am a big fan of taking turmeric daily, it's not a quick fix.  It can take four to six weeks to fully see the benefits of taking a turmeric ginger shots recipe.

I take a turmeric supplement daily.  I add these turmeric and ginger shots when I'm starting to get sick for an extra boost.

However, you can take turmeric and ginger shots daily for their benefits.

What Are the Benefits of Turmeric and Ginger Shots?

These immune boosting juice shots are said to enhance digestion, reduce inflammation, help balance blood sugar level, improve skin health, and support your immune system.

Can I Make Immune Boosting Juice Shots Ahead of Time?

Yes, you can make immune boosting shots ahead of time.  I don't like making a batch every time I need them.  You can double or triple this turmeric ginger shots recipe and store it in the fridge.

It will last for 2 to 3 days.  I don't recommend making more than you will use in three days.

Immune Boosting Shots Ingredients

I get most of my dried herbs and spices from Mountain Rose Herbs.  However, for small quantities, try Etsy.  I will link to both for your convenience.

To make turmeric and ginger shots, you will need:
